The R Family

I always enjoy large families but the one I had the pleasure of meeting this past weekend was exceptionally lovely.  6 kids - 2 boys and 4 girls - a new baby, and a lot of laughing, what more could you ask for?

I love this portrait of Mom and baby.  She told me one of the reasons for booking this session with me was that they have next to no pictures of this little guy, so I tried to take a LOT!!

 All the kids
Mom and Dad.  I think these two know how to raise a family with joy.  Really beautiful to witness the relationships here.
This little one was very busy collecting rocks for much of the time.

 The girls
The boys (and the bookends of the kids - oldest and youngest)

Ken & Jackie - The Wedding (Part 2)

Day 2 of Ken and Jackie's wedding was a "reception" -  really an all day party.  Although it was a little warmer in degrees, it felt a whole lot colder with the wind, but that didn't stop anyone from hanging out outside, playing lawn games and sitting around the fire.

They put so much work into the details.  There were hand painted signs everywhere and little personal touches all over that really reflected Ken and Jackie's personalities.

 Love this...

Ken & Jackie - The Wedding (Part 1)

Ken and Jackie got married yesterday in one of the most original and relaxed weddings I have ever witnessed.  They had no wedding party, just family in attendance, and Ken's dad performed the ceremony.  Everything took place in and on the grounds of a home they've rented for the weekend, so there were no time restrictions or constraints, and everything just sort of "flowed".

The people who own the home are avid hunters, and the inside is filled with animals like the ones below.  You know how in TV shows, any time anyone is from Texas, they have a really strong accent?  I feel like this home would be the stereotypical "Texas" home that people who don't live here must imagine when they think of Texas.

The flowers were beautiful, especially Jackie's bouquet.  I love the wheat mixed in.

 Just 3 weeks old!

The actual ceremony took place in a gazebo out back on the water.  Here is Ken getting his first look at Jackie.
Doesn't she look stunning!  I absolutely love her dress.  So elegant and simple.

The reception will take place this afternoon....I can't wait!
