The No Computer Blues

My computer is dead....well, not dead, but definitely out of commission for the past couple weeks. I was editing photos when it decided to give me a heart attack and stop working. I really thought I was going to be ill. What a sick feeling that was. Even though I back up all of my files, I had a LOT of edited work (most of it personal) that I hadn't saved. Luckily I have a friend who was able to recover my files, but I have been without a way to edit or blog since then. Ahh!! I have to admit I have felt a little lost, but this is probably good for me. Anyway, as soon as I get the computer back I'll try to get some posts up soon. I'm in Missouri visiting my sister and have a few project ideas I've been bouncing around in my head to do while I'm here, so we'll see how things go...

Dilan's 9 Months

Dilan is growing, growing, growing! I first met this little guy when he was just a few weeks old and now look at him! I spent some time with him and his family Sunday for his 9 month portraits and it is amazing how different he is from the last time I saw him. He's so mobile and aware of everything. Definitely a cutie. Here are some of my favorites from the day....

Brad & Shari

Brad and Shari were married this past November here in Dallas and wanted to have a few bridal portraits and couples portraits made. We met yesterday afternoon for their session and it was a lot of fun. There was a lot of construction going on around where we were shooting, so we tried to make good use of the construction site. That was a nice surprise. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from the day.

Shari is a graphic designer based out of Dallas. She owns her own company where she custom designs wedding announcements and invitations, birth announcements, etc . She designed the invitations and programs for her wedding. They were very original and creative, and you can check out her more of her work here.

South Pacific

This past Thursday I shot some photos of the University of Dallas' upcoming musical South Pacific. We had to do the photos in a different place from where the musical will actually be performed, so we had a bit of a challenge with lighting, but I think they turned out pretty well all the same. The musical will run March 26 - March 28 at Lynch Auditorium if you're interesting in going. It's obvious how much work they've already put into it, and it looks like it's going to be a great show!

Molly & Steven (wedding for Kristin)

This past Saturday I 2nd shot Molly and Steven's wedding for my friend Kristin Bednarz. It's always fun to shoot with Kristin and the wedding was absolutely beautiful. They were married at Highland Park First United Methodist Church and had their fabulous reception at Brookhollow Country Club. It was so hard to narrow them down, but here are a few of my favorite pics...

some details from the day....

OK, I love shoes....and I loved Molly's shoes. I took way too many photos of them and couldn't decide on just one photo, so here are two.

Che bella!

The Bulletproof Brass Band played the reception and did a fabulous job. Definitely good to get the room going (not that this group needed any help with that!).
