The Taylor Kids/Alexander Family

My brother and sister-in-law are in town visiting for a couple weeks with their two little girls and while they were here, Calah wanted to get some photos with them as well as with her siblings.

A photo I took of William earlier in the day while I was testing out lighting...

The Pelletier Family

Yesterday I spent a couple hours photographing one of the best families you'll ever meet, the Pelletiers. We've known them since college and we've watched their family grow and grow since then. Of the five kids, Jimmy has been serving our country in Iraq for the majority of the past few years and Jennifer has been teaching on the East coast, so getting the whole family together at the same time doesn't happen all that often. However, it did happen yesterday, and between Chuck and Pat, their 5 kids, the 2 spouses, and 9 1/2 grandkids running around, it was quite the lively session.

Chuck and Pat with their kids. I just have to point out Charlie on the left. When my computer crashed and nearly gave me a heart attack a few months ago, he is the one who saved it.

This is probably one of my favorites from the day. Sometimes kids just don't want to take pictures!

JP and his growing family. JP was best man at our wedding and Jonathan was best man at his.

Randy and his boys.

Randy and Lisa who are expecting their 8th this coming spring.

Godfather and godson.

The Carver Boys

Today I had what I have to say is probably one of the most entertaining sessions I've had with these three brothers. We did a lot of the shots I wanted (all the while trying to keep Joe from squinting) and then they let loose and did a lot of the shots that they wanted (ie acting very silly shots). It was a lot of fun and I'm glad we finally met up as we've been trying to schedule a good time for awhile now. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

Siena's 3rd Birthday

Our friends Will and Delilah (who you might have seen before a few times on the blog) invited us to their daughter's 3rd birthday party this past weekend. They had it at the petting zoo at Fritz Park in Irving. If you haven't been there, it is a really cool little place. The zoo is free and they charge just a minimal fee for use of one of the buildings for a party. They are only open June and July due to a lack of funding from taxpayers, but you should definitely check it out if you have kids.

This little guy escaped from his pen when one of the kids opened the latch. It took them awhile to get him corralled and he did NOT want to go back!

Here are some of the kids following the goat back to his pen.

Delilah is also a photographer. You can check out her blog here.

After cake, Will's friend AP brought out all kinds of instruments for the kids to play. He was really good with them and everyone had a blast playing and dancing and running around playing games. Definitely good old fashioned (re: free) entertainment that the kids loved. Goes to show you do not need to spend a lot of money to have a great party!
