Andy & Abby

Andy and Abby got married this past Saturday at St. Elizabeth's in Lubbock, TX. I actually know them through our friends Mandi and Joe. Andy is Mandi's cousin and Abby is Joe's sister, so now the two families are joined again by another bond.

It was a great day - Kristin Bednarz shot with me which was totally awesome. She has been kind of my mentor since I started getting into photography and we had a lot of fun together. Plus, I got to play with some of her photography equipment and now I think I have a few more things to add to my wish list! Not to mention that any time the Gaschen clan is at a party, it's always a LOT of fun! When I was younger, I would sometimes go with Mandi to the family get-togethers and I thought the craziness was great. I love big families!!

Anyway, it was a beautiful ceremony. Abby looked stunning. She and Andy decided to see each other beforehand so that we could get most of the formals done before mass and so that they could go see Andy's grandfather, John Gaschen, who was unable to attend the wedding. Starting pictures so early allowed us to really play around a bit, and the light in the church in the early afternoon was wonderful. All in all, it was a great day.

David Gaschen is one of Andy's uncles. Andy and Abby were fortunate enough to have him sing at their wedding. For those of you who aren't familiar with him, he is an extremely talented singer, and I highly recommend checking out his website by clicking here.
