Evangeline's Baptism
Yesterday was such a crazy day! I started off in the morning running a 5k, then straight to the funeral of Dr. Curtsinger, a longtime UD professor and a dear friend of my in-laws, to sing with the Collegium Cantorum, then out with the realtor to look at houses, then my niece's baptism, and a reception after that. It was a sort of strange day, filled with sadness and with joy. The funeral was beautiful, and just as I think funerals should be - the celebration of a person's life. It seemed fitting that we ended the day with a baptism, a celebration of the beginning of a person's life with Christ. Here are some photos from the baptism. Jonathan and I were asked to be godparents, so many of these were taken by my mother-in-law, who I think did quite a good job!
MAVS!!!
Basketball season begins...you've heard of a football widow? I think I qualify as a basketball widow. This time of year gets really hectic for us. To start off the season, we went to the Mavs/Bulls game this past week with our friends Chris and Amy. Although it turned out to be an unbelievable game (in the bad way, we lost a 20 point lead in the last 4 minutes of the game), we had a good time. Here we all are, mugging for the camera.

Evan & Christine Sneak Peek Two
This past Saturday, Evan and Christine were married in a beautiful ceremony at the bride's uncle's estate. It was a fairy-tale scene and I had my good friend Kristin Bednarz at my side to help capture it. We had a lot of fun and it was really nice to see how in love Evan and Christine were. When they were together it seemed like they were the only two people there. Here are a few of my faves from the day.
These were Christine's shoes. They were a wedding gift from Evan and are exact replicas of the shoes Dorothy wore in the Wizard of Oz.
